OVERWINTERING VEGGIES - PLANT PACK
$45.00
This is a curated pack of overwintering veggies for folks who want to try their hand at growing more of what they eat all year round!
They're extremely frost tolerant and most even need a good freeze to become more delicious. It's a collection of mostly Brassicas, Radicchio and a few different onions, so it's a great rotation crop for what was previously your garlic or tomato bed. It's also a great way to keep your soil covered over winter. They don't need a greenhouse or a cold frame, but they could benefit from some white row cover to keep the bugs at bay and a layer of straw mulch, but otherwise these plants are bred for our wet winters to fill what many growers refer to as the “hunger gap” of early spring. The Brassicas and Walla Walla onions will get established and grow slowly, all winter long, finally yielding an abundance at the very first signs of spring. The Radicchio and green onions will be ready to harvest and eat as the fall progresses.
HERE'S WHAT YOU GET:
6 - Radicchio Palla Rossa Melot
3 - January King Cabbage
3 - Red Arrow Purple Sprouting Broccoli
3 - Chard Bietola a Costa Fine
3 - Cauliflower Purple Cape
2 pots (6 plants) - Walla Walla Onions
