Hi - I’m Elly,

I’ve been working in Urban Farming for close to a decade.

I currently live in the Pacific North West, in zone 8b. My favourite flower is the Blue Fama Scabiosa and I could talk your ear off about flower farming for hours on end.
I used to work in the fashion industry and about 10 years ago, I got this nagging feeling to switch to a career that fed me more, both literally and figuratively. I gave my notice at my day job and went off into the field of Urban Farming….a field that barely existed at the time. I worked in landscaping so I could learn how to properly use tools, I found mentors and interned for them until they would hire me, I worked markets for one of the busiest farms that sells vegetables in Vancouver, I searched high and low for where I fit in this tiny but blossoming industry…

And then I found flowers.

So when you tell me there’s a nagging voice in the back of your head whispering about sweet peas and nudging you to buy more dahlia tubers and digging up your front lawn piece by piece every passing spring, I GET it. I know what it’s like to have the bug and I know what it’s like to long to do something more with it. I’ve owned and run a flower farm for the past five years and now, I want to take that knowledge and help you bring your flower growing dreams to life.

Maybe you want to grow enough flowers to hold workshops in your garage? Maybe you want to start a small flower CSA? Maybe you have a spare acre and want to start your own U-Pick field? There are a ton of different ways that you can grow flowers and share them with the folks in your life. Whatever it is, I can help you draw out a map to get you there and start bringing more beauty into this world!
